Overworked Man

He rises up real early
Sunshine barely there
Often it is cloudy
For winter it is here

Another day of working
Of multitasking too
He wonders how he does it
No breaks the whole day through

Lunch is often at his desk
While talking on the phone
Attending another meeting
Wishing he was home.

He’s used to all the busyness
Overworked he is that
If only he could take a break
What a relief he would have.

Retirement it is closer
Working for more that’s true
To have more income then
Will help secure him through.

Someday his health will decline
The income he will need
And when he dies he’ll know
His family will be fine indeed.
